Celebrating Father's Day—here at the office.

It is Sunday—Father's Day. I went to church this morning, but this afternoon I am back in the office. Some of my staff—fathers includedhave been working all weekend.

Monday, we will deploy to our test server what may ultimately be the next commercial release of our new flagship product—the version San Bernardino County will take into the field July 2nd. So, we are postponing yet another holiday, but come July 31st—when 90% of our customer base has the ability to migrate to EnvisionConnect—we will each hold a celebration greater than any before.

Bud ArledgeRegardless of my focus this afternoon, this day still has me thinking of my father—as well as my grandfather, who passed recently. Anyone who has known the two men will tell you that they are nothing alike and that they had very little in common. I, however, know of one spectacular thing they still have in common.

I have found no one in Louisiana—or anywhere else in these United States—who has one negative thing to say about either of them. It is rare that any man can honestly say that about themselves. I certainly cannot, and I will forever live in awe of their accomplishments.

Harvey Winston "Bud" Arledge is not a big cruiser of the world-wide web. He would rather be fishing with a net than surfing one, but maybe—just maybesomeone, somewhere will read this and mention these few words and tell him how proud I am to be his son.

Happy Father's Day, everyone!
