Is the July sprint in trouble?

Today's Sprint Burndown Chart shows a sprint in trouble. The green line is the projected completion date for all of the July commitments. This is well beyond the committed delivery date.

In today's Daily Stand-up, the team will have to decide what must be done.

"We can play the overtime card and finish when the orange line projects, we can cancel the current sprint and start over, or we can meet with the Product Owner to determine if something can be removed from this sprint."

The above statement is the out-of-the-box appropriate ScrumMaster response. However, any experienced ScrumMaster will recognize another variable in the equation: The black or real-time line between yesterday and today is flat. It is unlikely that no one worked yesterday. It is more likely that no one updated their task progress in Scrum for Team System, which feeds our burndown chart. That is a problem the team must correct.
