A big part of building a solid team is learning to laugh with—as well as at—each other. We must become vulnerable—open with each other about our problems and our mistakes—without fear of retribution.
Scrum helps us do the second part, and Mike Vizdos' comic strip—Implementing Scrum—helps us with the first part.
As a Scrum Practitioner (or Coach / Mentor / Consultant) and Certified Scrum Trainer, Mike is the grit behind the strip, working with artist Tony Clark.
Constantly asked, "Where do you get your ideas?", Mike says...
"Sometimes, I find humor in the situations. Since I continue to see these situations all around, I thought I'd connect with an artist, develop some cartoons, and provide some narrative to help people learn. Learning through humor—Let's see if it works!"
The site continues to evolve, says Mike, "in an agile fashion". It officially launched on September 11, 2006 with a classic story from within the Scrum community—and his cast of characters has been scrumming strong ever since.
